The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted Montgomery students in significant ways, increasing existing inequities and disrupting learning. Our students need us now more than ever. The MGM LEAPS (Learning and Enrichment Acceleration Program for our Students) program is designed to support local students in their academic and social and emotional recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The MGM LEAPS program includes project-based learning centered around two theme-based units on Civil Rights History and the Arts, focusing on key foundational reading and math concepts aligned with Alabama standards.
